Additive Manufacturing

We investigate the influences and dependencies found in the additive manufacturing of different materials (e.g. glass, plastics, metals), as well as their application possibilities and the performance of additively manufactured components (e.g. load-bearing capacity, durability, service life). The interdisciplinary composition of the team (mechanical engineering, material science, civil engineering) in combination with the comprehensive range of laboratory equipment (including 3D – µCT, SEM with EDX, mechanical-technological testing equipment) enables us to develop solutions for the complex issues of additive manufacturing technology and its applications.
