Measuring and Calibration Technology

In the competence area of measuring and calibration technology, calibrations, tests and monitoring of testing machines, testing equipment, measuring devices and force transfer standards are carried out. These services are required for quality assurance and enhancement of primary test data obtained with test equipment in research and industry. For complex test rigs and special applications in research, the technology of measuring and calibration is adapted and further developed.

Materials and construction materials testing machines, extensometers and length measuring, force measuring, torque measuring equipment and force transducers are tested according to the standards given as examples in the range of services. Test certificates or calibration certificates are issued for all testing machines, testing devices and measuring equipment examined, with reference to the connection to corresponding national standards (force, length, time, temperature, torque, Voltage (measuring amplifier)), and the applicable standards and test methods are specified.

The competence area cooperates in relevant expert committees (DAkkS, DIN, DKD, VMPA, VDI), is a VMPA recommended laboratory and flexibly accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 by the German Calibration Service DAkkS.
